Oh my goodness, everything about this is perfect. I love the personification of the eagle climbing atop Prometheus and the way he’s pushing Prometheus’ head back. Notice how Prometheus clenches his fists, pulls at his bindings, and arches against the craggy rock. Compare with Moreau’s painting of Prometheus looking awfully apathetic as an eagle nibbles on his liver.
